Red Light Vintage- 4560 University Way NE
A University District favorite, Red Light is filled with great vibes, aesthetic color coordination, and quality vintage pieces. Located on the corner of 47th and University Way NE, this shop always has a wide variety of clothes for anyone’s style, but especially if you are a fan of 70’s fashion. This is by far the best place to visit for the Halloween season because they provide great Halloween costumes and inspiration. Overall, this is one of the best vintage shops in Seattle, but a big price tag follows it, so you might want to save up before you visit.

Goodwill- 115 Belmont Ave E
As far as Goodwill’s go, this is one of the most organized shops I’ve ever been to. This Goodwill is open concept and multiple floors, where you are guaranteed to find something if you look through all the racks. The first floor is nicely divided in half with men’s and women’s clothes on opposite sides. Downstairs you will be greeted by any housewares you desire, along with a bunch of Christmas decorations if that’s what you’re into. If you’re new to thrifting and want to check out a genuine spot, this Goodwill in Capitol Hill is the place for you.

Crossroads- 325 Broadway E
Crossroads exist all over Seattle, but the Capitol Hill location is arguably one of the best. Reminiscent of Buffalo Exchange, Crossroads houses a lot of great pieces in a variety of different price points. You can find anything as simple as a colored t-shirt to a pair of thigh-high lace up boots. Located on Broadway East, this Crossroads is affordable and surrounded by a few other thrift shops that are worth hitting. Altogether, I have never left this shop without making a purchase.

Pretty Parlor- 119 Summit Ave E
The Pretty Parlor definitely draws in a niche shopper, but the experience can be positive for anyone. Most of these pieces are 1950’s styles in perfect condition, and the price reflects it. The shop itself is beautiful and exciting, making it worth the trip even if it isn’t your taste. The best part was absolutely the fact that there is a shop cat that sleeps on the counter and loves attention. If old vintage is your thing, definitely come to Capitol Hill for this, and if not come for the cat.

Fremont Vintage Mall- 3419 Fremont Ave N
The Fremont Vintage Mall is rightfully titled, every floor is filled with vintage treasures from any time in history. I especially love this shop because there is something for every man, woman, and child. The shop is divided into different rooms that contain jewelry, clothes, mirrors, old photographs, and anything else you can imagine. My favorite section is a room towards the back with the most beautiful vintage winter coats and quality jeans. Everything is so unique and in great shape. Like any other proper vintage shop, the prices are steep, but if you can afford it, it’s all worth it. Before coming here make sure you block off a couple of hours of your day to search this store in its entirety.

Bon Voyage Vintage- 110 S Washington St
Bon Voyage Vintage is located in Pioneer Square and is a lovely little shop. With vintage pieces for thrift store prices, this place is a must-see. Although the shop itself is small, the clothes there are really eclectic and fun. The most unique part is that they sell some pieces from local artists, which further ensures your purchases will be one of a kind. If you happen to be in the area, I definitely recommend popping in.

Goodwill Outlet- 1765 6th Ave S
I can only recommend this place to people who are ready to do some serious digging. The Goodwill Outlet is located near the Stadium stop on the Link, and the overall area is very industrial. I wish I could explain to you how the line to get in works, but I can’t figure it out for myself. There are people who spend their entire day at this outlet and are very intense about it, so just stay out of their way and you’ll be fine. Once you get in, pick a bucket and start searching. I have found some great sweaters and winter coats, and the best part is that you pay by the pound, so the prices are unbeatable. I have had some of my best experiences at this Goodwill outlet, and recommend it to anyone who is ready to hunt.
