Fashion week has looked different the past couple of seasons, but the makeup trends have remained exciting. This past fall brought vibrant shades that everyone should consider adding to their everyday style or special events. The runway brought both subtle and elaborate looks that are sure to enhance your winter wardrobe. 

Lip

The first makeup trend seen across runways was a bold lip. This trend seems to come and go, but for now, it is definitely back in. This adventurous trend can add excitement to any outfit, and colors like bright red or an eye-catching pink will make you forget it’s winter in Seattle. While masks are still being worn around the world, consider trying out this prominent lipstick for coffee dates or weekend brunches. 

Face

Another trend that seems to pop up in various forms throughout the years is the natural look. Subtle makeup that brings out your natural glow is perfect for everyone. Start with your preferred moisturizer and concealer or light foundation if you want, then consider a low-key highlight and you have perfected the carefree spring look.

Eye

Lavender eyeshadow was also spotted across various runways and different advertisements. I love this look because especially in the winter months purple eyeshadow adds a bit of freshness and excitement that complements the gray skies we’ve been seeing lately. You could also be inspired by this trend and try other vibrant shades to brighten up your face and add an artsy flair to your look. 

The perfect look that has stuck around for the past few years is graphic liner. This is my personal favorite because it is great for highlighting the colors you are wearing. I love to match my colored liner and apply it in patterns and designs to create a unique addition to any look, and it’s guaranteed to catch attention. Brands like Versace and Off-White showed off their own versions of this trend.
